The College of Media at the University of Gilgamesh was established in 2023 and officially commenced its academic activities in the 2024–2025 academic year. The college aims to prepare qualified media professionals equipped with scientific, professional, and technological skills capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in media and digital communication. The college provides modern academic programs through scientific cooperation and twinning with the College of Media at the University of Thi-Qar, contributing to the preparation of distinguished graduates capable of meeting local and regional labor market needs while promoting professional ethics and social responsibility toward society and the nation. The college also seeks to provide an advanced educational and training environment supported by modern laboratories and digital studios that enhance students’ practical and creative skills in journalism, digital media, content creation, and mass communication.
